Ask anyone ,who has met Brian Nevins, the chief executive officer and founder of Nevins Ltd., the Houston-based office furniture marketing company, and they will tell you he is a force when it comes to promoting his business. Like many successful entrepreneurs in the industry, his company has grown and prospered in large part because of his determination and personality.
But the charismatic leader of the company knows that a winning smile only goes so far. That 's why the company is turning over to an industry design veteran in order to update some of the company's admittedly outdated furniture and fill in the gaps in other places. Nevins also is betting on a high tech transformation to keep adding to its top notch customer service.
Nevins will no longer simply be pushed ahead by its Kiwi-born owner. Stylish product and outstand ing customer service will be needed as well. The company has taken the
first step in the process by improving its customer service and Internet presence with the help of Vice President Mark Ataya, a former Neinkamper employee committed to taking the company from "literally, a mom and pop organization" and organizing it for much more structured growth.
